To Be Self Aware

The life process can take us on a journey of searching for answers about ourselves. With that information we may increase the influence on how our lives play out.

Self Awareness is what gives you the tools to get what you want through ways that are best suited for you. Seeking awareness is key, even if at times when it feels uncomfortable.

When becoming aware of ourselves, we learn our strengths, weaknesses, and even personality type. But it’s deeper than that. Being aware of our thoughts and watching them objectively as an observer, without emotion or attachment is what knowing yourself really is.

The things we don't know and don't understand about ourselves have a discreet influence over the choices we make and the things we attract into our experience.

“Being aware of yourself allows You to Be Your Own medicine.”

We can either try to ignore or escape these lessons, or welcome them with open arms as an opportunity to gain self awareness.

When we take these opportunities of self development we have the ability to change the traits we dislike and build on those traits we do like.  We have behaviors from childhood that served us well then, but don’t work well for us as adults.

I have learned there are two things that have come with self awareness. Honesty and courage. When we come to see and understand these things about ourselves, we are then able to consciously work with and on these parts, to cater to them, to consider them and to respond to them consciously.

Now here is the kicker…when we have a strong sense of self awareness, we are not only more aware of ourselves, but very aware of others. We are less likely to be taken advantage of, manipulated and any other disservice that comes along with our dealings with others. On the other hand, we will also be very aware in how we make others feel and have a more mindful approach in how we communicate and connect.

Until next time…
